Client: Persimmon Homes

Value: £9.10million

J Devine Civil Engineering took on a significant role in the Hatchwood Mill project in Winnersh Wokingham, collaborating closely with client Persimmon Homes. With a project value of £9.10 million, this undertaking played a pivotal role in the creation of a vibrant residential community. The primary objective was to construct 246 residential plots, offering a diverse range of housing options, including 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom houses.

Central to the project was the construction of approximately 5,000 square meters of roads and parking facilities. These critical elements were meticulously designed and executed to provide efficient access and parking solutions for the residents. J Devine Civil Engineering's expertise in road construction and infrastructure development was apparent in creating a well-connected and functional living environment.

In addition to the roadworks, the project encompassed the installation of essential utility services. This included the establishment of foul and surface water sewer systems, as well as mains services to ensure the seamless supply of water, electricity, and other essential amenities to the residential units. The project also involved the construction of traditional and piled foundations, ground beams, oversites, domestic drainage systems, substructure brickwork, and external works, demonstrating the company's dedication to creating a robust and sustainable housing infrastructure.

Furthermore, the project featured the creation of public open spaces, providing recreational areas for residents and enhancing the overall quality of life within the community. These open spaces not only added to the community's aesthetic appeal but also contributed to the development of a welcoming and harmonious living environment.
